Squid Game is a battle royale-inspired series on Netflix that was premiered on September 17, 2021. The drama follows Seong Gi-hun, a man with a gambling issue who finds himself in significant debt. Consequently, he is recruited to compete in a 456-player tournament involving deadly versions of popular children’s games.
Free Fire’s new “Red Light, Green Light” game mode is directly inspired by one of the games played in the popular series.
