NetEase Games has officially launched “Time of Reunion,” the first plot documentary of Identity V. Along with this, the new character, “The Novelist,” will also debut.
Time of Reunion
The main plot of Time of Reunion is divided into three stages. In the first phase beginning on October 28, players will follow detectives’ lead in searching for clues for secrets. The broken diary in the bookcase may restore forgotten memories: Oletus Manor a decade ago, the promising young novelist, everything about “me.” As the investigation continues, fragments of memory gradually join into a whole picture.
As the first stage of Time of Reunion unfolds, events will be launched for all servers. Through matching, players have the opportunity to select the Novelist-“Orpheus” and be the first to experience the fun of a new character. With Novelist on the battlefield, the server process will be accelerated, and when it reaches 100%, all servers will receive the brand-new character—The Novelist.
The Novelist
Novelist “Orpheus” is a rising novelist who is well-known for his ability to write horror stories. He is the subject of rumors: some claim he has a happy family, while others claim he lives alone. Nonetheless, he has amassed considerable wealth and reputation due to the reasonable royalties and large readership. In the public eye, he has developed into young talent. However, only he was aware that his past was a haunting nightmare. Therefore, he knew there was no reason to refuse when he received the invitation letter that came with the flute.
Novelist Gameplay and Skills
The Novelist is a flexible character whose primary ability is to swap the control of characters with his survivor teammates (for up to 60 seconds) or the hunter (5 seconds). When a teammate takes control of the survivor character, both players receive a movement speed boost. He can also decrypt a Cipher Machine more quickly, as long as it is less than 50% complete.
His skills are Outline and Metaphor. Meanwhile, his external traits are Resonance and Foreshadowing.
