Blacklist International quickly crushed EVOS Singapore with a neat 3-0 sweep in the lower bracket semifinals match of the M3 World Championship on December 18.
With the win, Tier One Entertainment-led Blacklist International is set to rematch against North America’s BloodThirstyKings (BTK) that sent them to the lower bracket. The upset from Onic PH dispatched BTK to the lower bracket.
Meanwhile, EVOS SG bows out of the M3 World Championship with a 4th place finish, taking home USD 55,000 in consolation.
Blacklist were able to dominate the early minutes of Game 1 by utilizing their double marksman composition, OHEB (Clint) and Wise (Natan). Continuing the momentum, they wiped out the Singaporeans twice within 10 minutes and without conceding any turrets. The Filipino squad then marched to EVOS SG’s base to end the first game with a landslide 18-2 kill advantage, leading the series 1-0.
OHEB’s Clint was named the MVP in the first game, recording 6 kills and 10 assists against 0 deaths.
The Filipino team showed a dominant performance in Game 2 both in team fights and objectives as they secured an overwhelming 15 kills, 3 turtles within 5 minutes, and lord in the 12-minute mark. Blacklist quickly ended the second game in the 13th minute limiting EVOS SG to 1 kill to reach match point, 2-0.
OhMyV33NUS earned the MVP honors in the second game on his signature hero Estes, recording a 0-0-12 (KDA) score and match kill participation of 80%.
Blacklist International successfully blocked EVOS SG’s attempt to make a comeback in Game 3 as they wisely employed a brilliant strategy, Wise’s (Bane) area of effect attacks and OHEB’s (Natan) mobility, to prevail every pickoff. The Filipino crew concluded the third game with an assertive 5-1 wipeout in the 17th minute, amassing a 27-10 kill score.
OHEB’s Natan emerged MVP in the third game, posting a 12-3-5 KDA score.
