miHoYo has launched the “Enchanting Journey of Snow and Stars” web event for Genshin Impact to celebrate the 1st anniversary of the Dragonspine map expansion. As part of the celebration, Val Thorens, Europe’s highest ski resort, is clad in Genshin Impact’s iconic characters and elements. See more details below.
The latest web event includes three parts, including:
- Coalescing Starlight: December 29, 2021, 10:00 AM GMT +8 to January 9, 2022, 11:59 PM GMT +8
- Waypoint Lighting Ceremony: Mid-January 2022
- The Replay of the Ceremony and Viewing of the Tree of Wishes: Mid-January 2022 onwards
Players will need to join the Enchanting Journey of Snow and Stars web event as there are participation milestone rewards:
- 300,000 participants: x3 Goulash
- 600,000 participants: x20,000 Mora
- 1,000,000 participants: x30 Primogems
Reward packs will be unlocked in sequence as these milestones are reached. Note that each reward pack is limited to 3 million in quantity. Once the 1-million milestone is achieved, a waypoint lighting ceremony in the Alps will be held live on Twitch, Youtube, and VK.
Meanwhile, the Hang Your Wishes event will be seeing up to 50 characters’ wishes transformed into wish cards and hung on the Tree of Wishes at the Alps. By January 15, 2022, selected participants will receive individual wishing card images. They just need to enter their nickname, region, and accompanying character to receive a small souvenir card indicating their participation. This cannot be altered in the future. Later, on the rewards screen, they can type in their wish.

For the unaware, Genshin Impact is a free-to-play open-world action role-playing game set in the visually stunning world of Teyvat. The player assumes the role of the mysterious “Traveler,” who embarks on a journey to discover the fate of their missing sibling while also uncovering the mysterious secrets of Teyvat.

Dragonspine is a frozen mountain range that was added to the game as its first map expansion in December 2020. Snow-covered all year, the area sets itself apart from the rest of Teyvat with its unique environments and creatures. In the last year, Dragonspine has seen a slew of Travelers test their mettle against the elements and unearth mysteries beneath the permanent snow.
