Special Force Play-to-Earn version set to release in 2022
South Korean game developer Dragonfly has announced that it will be releasing a play-to-earn version of its popular first-person shooter game, “Special Force,” in Southeast Asia in 2022.
Dragonfly has established a subsidiary company called DF Chain in the Philippines. DF Chain will manage the overall play-to-earn ecosystem’s development, from NFT (Non-fungible Token) issuance to coin deposit and withdrawal, supply and demand adjustment, and NFT purchase and transaction in response to the influx of new members.
The new subsidiary is a joint venture created by Gamechain CO., LTD., a firm run by RUSH Coin Foundation and DRAGONFLY GF CO., LTD.
For the unaware, RUSH Coin is issued by Gamechain and is currently listed on cryptocurrency exchanges such as Coinone, Bit Global, and FOBLGATE. They’ve already implemented it in several blockchain-based games, such as the action RPG “White Kingdom” and zombie VR game “Death Cage.”
Meanwhile, the Special Force P2E version of the game will be available in all Southeast Asian countries where it is legally permissible, serving as a turning point for Dragonfly to develop an ecosystem that includes NFTs and coin deposits and withdrawals.
Moreover, Dragonfly plans to incorporate the blockchain and Play-to-Earn model into its upcoming battle royale game, Special Force: Legion of Monsters, on Steam. You can watch its gameplay preview below.
Dragonfly’s Special Force is set to release in 2022. There’s still no announcement for its official release date.
