Blacklist International quickly defeated Nexplay Evos, 3-0, to advance to the upper bracket semifinals of Phase 2 of Sibol Mobile Legends: Bang Bang National Team Selection on Friday.
Nexplay Evos’ H2wo was rushed to the hospital before the match after experiencing stomach pain. This resulted in a nearly hour-long delay, prompting officials to award Game 1 to Blacklist International.
With H2wo out, Blacklist International began work on a Nexplay Evos team that was clearly troubled over their teammate’s condition.
Blacklist’s Kyle “Dominic” Soto (Phoveus) and Danerie “Wise” James Del Rosario (Paquito) led the Tier One-backed team to dominate the 11-minute Game 2 with a 16-4 kill advantage against Nexplay Evos.
H2wo played in the third game, making an appearance for Nexplay EVOS following his hospital discharge. That, however, was insufficient to keep his team out of the lower bracket.
Despite the return of NXP’s notable jungler, Blacklist International maintained their dominance with a 15-4 kill lead in under 13 minutes of action to secure the sweep.
Howard “Owl” Gonzales (Brody) led Blacklist’s victory with 5 kills and 6 against 2 deaths, while Danerie “Wise” James Del Rosario (Aldous) chipped in with 4 kills and 1 assist.
