RSG, Onic, Nexplay, Blacklist secure upper bracket slots in Sibol ML tryouts
Four Mobile Legends teams have secured the upper bracket slots in Phase 2 of Sibol Mobile Legends qualifiers on January 27, 2022, broadcasted live via the official SIBOL Facebook page.
After defeating their opponents in a best-of-three series, RSG Philippines, Onic Philippines, Nexplay Evos, and Blacklist International reached the upper bracket.
RSG PH fired up the day with a 2-1 victory against MLBB Southeast Asian Cup 2021 champs Omega Esports.
Onic PH beat Origen Esports in Game 1 in under 10 minutes and secured the 2-0 sweep with a 17-minute win in Game 2.
Nexplay Evos defeated El Ganador Esports, 2-0, helmed by 2019 SEA Games gold medalist Jeniel “YellyHaze” Bata-anon.
M3 World champions Blacklist International capped the qualifier opener with a 2-1 victory against a revamped Bren Esports roster to round out the upper bracket semis lineup.
Blacklist will be facing Nexplay while Onic PH will fight RSG PH. On the other hand, the four losers will continue their campaign in the do-or-die lower bracket of the double-elimination tournament.
Day 2 of Phase 2 of the 2022 Sibol Mobile Legends National Team Selection is scheduled for January 28, 2022.
