MIUI 13 core experience improvements and new features
MIUI 13 brings Liquid Storage, a technology that reduces fragmentation. It actively manages your stored data, increasing the efficiency of defragmentation by up to 60%.
As we constantly write and rewrite data on traditional devices, the device’s storage becomes fragmented over time. After just 36 months, this can result in a 50% reduction in the read and write speeds. However, MIUI 13 retains up to 95% of its functionality, thus extending the life of the device.
Its new RAM optimization feature, Atomized Memory, gets underway to close inactive background processes and free up memory for new apps, enhancing their performance. This enables you to run more applications and enjoy a more fluid multitasking experience.
In general, smartphone processors distribute resources reasonably evenly among all your apps. However, in MIUI 13, Focused Algorithms prioritize the active app over all others, providing faster speeds and increased performance where they are needed.
Meanwhile, MIUI 13’s Smart Balance feature automatically finds the optimal balance of performance and power consumption, ensuring that you have the power and speed you require. As a result, it can extend the overall battery life by up to 10%.
Its new Sidebar feature enables quick access to all your favorite apps with a single swipe. This is ideal for multitaskers who want an easier way to open multiple apps simultaneously or to switch between them quickly. Users can personalize the feature by adding up to ten mobile apps to the sidebar.
MIUI 13 widgets
Users can now customize their smartphones with convenient modules and notifications in the App Vault or on the home screen via all-new widgets. They make it simple to stay informed about notifications, to-do lists, and the weather, among other things. MIUI 13 allows for the creation of widgets of varying sizes. With options for 2×1, 2×2, 2×3, 4×2, and 4×4, users can fit more critical information on a single widget and place widgets in previously unusable locations.
MIUI 13 wallpapers
MIUI 13’s wallpapers feature MIUI X Beauty of Science, crystals under a microscope. These wallpapers demonstrate the crystallization of vitamin C and citric acid substances. Different concentrations of these substances combine to form mesmerizing crystal patterns, which are revealed through time-lapse photography using a polarized light microscope.
MIUI 13 protective watermark
Meanwhile, the protective watermark feature serves as a deterrent to others copying your documents. Users can protect scans and photographs of their documents from unauthorized copying by using a custom pattern.
