Smart has been declared the fastest mobile network for Android, Apple, and Samsung devices in the Philippines for Q3 2022, as revealed by network analytics firm Ookla.
As per Ookla's analysis of Speedtest Intelligence data for Q3 2022, users of the said mobile devices got 34 to 70 percent faster speeds on Smart's mobile network than Globe's, whether it's on 4G LTE, 5G, and other network technologies.
Android handsets performed 59 percent faster on the Smart network (across all technologies) and up to 35 percent quicker on Smart LTE compared to the rival network.
Meanwhile, Apple devices were 75 percent faster on the Smart network (all technologies), 57 percent quicker on the Smart 5G network, and 56 percent faster on the Smart 4G/LTE network.
Additionally, iPhones saw 75 percent higher speeds on the Smart network (all technologies) and 57 percent faster speeds on Smart 5G and 4G/LTE.
Finally, Samsung smartphones were 69 percent quicker on the Smart network (all technologies). On Smart 4G/LTE, they were 58 percent faster, and on Smart 5G, they were 45 percent faster.
The most recent Ookla statistics reflect Smart's historic recognition as the best mobile network in the Philippines, the first and only local mobile operator to achieve this distinction since the inception of Ookla's Speedtest Awards in 2017.
