Genshin Impact 3.4 update: release date, banners, events, more

Genshin Impact 3.4 update is slated for release on January 18, 2023, as announced by HoYoverse. The latest Genshin Impact version 3.4 patch, titled "The Exquisite Night Chimes," brings events, rewards, two new playable characters, and more. Check out more information below.

New Events

As the new year in the land of Teyvat approaches, Liyue shines once more in the full splendor of Lantern Rite. This year's celebrations include a music festival with out-of-town guests and a performance of Paper Theater, a popular folk art show performed by local veteran artisans with the assistance of the Traveler. During Lantern Rite, numerous minigames are also available, such as Radiant Sparks, the most recent racing game in which players can become part of a rising fireworks display. Free rewards, including 10 plus 3 Intertwined Fates, a four-star Liyue character, and Lisa's new outfit, can be obtained by completing this season's events and challenges.

In remote Inazuma, numerous challengers have gathered to compete in two unique contests. In the "Warrior's Spirit" competition organized by the Yashiro Commission, contestants will use traditional Inazuman sword techniques, and an exhibition match between a special guest and Kamisato Ayaka in her brand-new attire will be held. Meanwhile, Arataki Itto is preparing the arena for the "Beetle Brawl," in which contestants must battle with their Onikabuto.

New Characters

Two more new playable Dendro characters will be available in the upcoming update.

Alhaitham

Alhaitham will eventually be playable as a 5-star sword wielder after his impressive appearance in the main plot of Sumeru. In his Story Quest "Vultur Volans Chapter," players can discover what happened to the logical and intelligent Scribe of the Akademiya after the events of Sumeru's main story. To facilitate combat, Alhaitham can create "Chisel-Light Mirrors" to transform his attacks into Dendro Damage, unleash coordinated attacks, increase the damage of his Elemental Burst, etc.

Yaoyao

Next, Yaoyao, a charming child from Liyue, is a 4-star character who can be recruited. In combat, Yaoyao wields a polearm and employs the adeptus-crafted device "Yuegui" to increase her damage output or heal her allies. She will not frighten nearby creatures while exploring by approaching them. The first half of Version 3.4's Event Wishes will feature Alhaitham, Yaoyao, and Xiao, while the second half will feature Hu Tao and Yelan's reruns.

More Updates

In the Desert of Hadramaveth, a new region located northwest of the Sumeru region, both mysteries and dangers lurk. A perpetual, enormous tornado resides in the middle of the desert, bringing storms and buried secrets to the surface. After completing the World Quest "Golden Slumber," players can continue their adventures with Jeht from the Tanit Camps, where they will encounter a mysterious Magic Bottle and embark on a quest to find the lost-lost Orchard of Pairidaeza (now known as the Eternal Oasis by the desert dwellers), where King Deshret froze time in honor of the Goddess of Flowers.

After Genius Invokation TCG was introduced in Version 3.3, each subsequent update will include a limited-time game mode with a special rule. The limited-time rule for Version 3.4 is to bypass the Roll Phase and obtain 8 Omni Dice directly. In this upcoming update, two new character cards, Klee and Beidou, will be added to the game.
