Globe Postpaid users can start confirming registration of their SIM cards via SMS beginning February 9, 2023, the telco announced.
According to Globe, they started sending out an SMS asking Postpaid customers to confirm their details.
To complete their SIM registration, Globe Postpaid subscribers just need to text SIMREG to 8080.
By sending the SMS, Globe Postpaid and Platinum customers confirm to Globe that they already submitted their full name, date of birth, sex, address, and proof of identification when they signed up for the postpaid service.
This step lets the customer tell Globe that it's okay to use their current information for SIM registration, as required by law.
Darius Delgado, Head of Globe's Consumer Mobile Business, said:
We have made it very easy for our valued Postpaid customers to complete their SIM Registration. With just one text, they will be compliant with the SIM Registration law. With this step, we hope to reach more of our customers and get them to register.
Meanwhile, Globe's SIM registration website [https://ift.tt/UAoV9Il] is always open for prepaid customers who want to register.
