Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 trailer, release date revealed

Jujutsu Kaisen has dropped a new trailer for Season 2. The highly-anticipated dark fantasy anime series is set to release on July 6, 2023, as indicated at the end of the video teaser uploaded by TOHO animation.

The video trailer reveals the story will focus on 2006 when Gojo Satoru and Geto Suguru were still in high school and were best friends.

It also shows a lot about Amanai Riko, a girl they're supposed to save on a mission, and Fushiguro Toji, who wants to stop them.

The second season will cover Gojo's Past Arc, which takes place when he's in his second year of high school and is tasked to take the Star Plasma Vessel to Master Tengen.

"Jujutsu Kaisen" (with literal translation: Sorcery Fight) is based on the manga by Gege Akutami. It follows Itadori Yuji as he goes on a journey to get all of the curses of Sukuna's fingers and get rid of him for good.

Gojo, Itadori's teacher, is regarded as the world's most powerful sorcerer.

Studio MAPPA is animating Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, which is set to air on July 6, 2023, in Japan. It will include the "Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu" (Hidden Inventory/Premature Death) arc and the "Shibuya Incident" arc. Studio MAPPA animated the first season of the television anime as well as the film Jujutsu Kaisen 0. The movie takes place before the events of the main series.
