Overwatch 2 x One-Punch Man Crossover
Game company Blizzard partnered with the hit anime title One-Punch Man to bring the first major collaboration to the first-person shooter game Overwatch 2.
Mike Ybarra, Blizzard Entertainment president, said:
As massive fans of anime and One-Punch Man, we’re beyond thrilled to bring this new collaboration to our players around the world. The Overwatch universe is an optimistic vision of near-future Earth, so why wouldn't Doomfist cosplay Saitama?
Overwatch 2 x One-Punch Man Event
One-Punch Man revolves around the story of Saitama, a lovable superhero who can defeat any opponent with a single punch, and his growing boredom due to a lack of formidable challengers.
The Overwatch 2 x One-Punch Man collection of cosmetics consists of four cosplay hero skins based on anime characters: Saitama - Doomfist, Genos - Genji, Tatsumaki - Kiriko, and Mumen Rider - Soldier 76 (which can be obtained for free by completing in-game challenges).
By joining any Unranked, Competitive, or Arcade game mode, you can earn up to six free rewards. Here is a breakdown of the available rewards:
- 4 games played – Saitama's Fist Weapon Charm
- 8 games played – Mumen Rider Name Card
- 12 games played – Cyclist of Justice Victory Pose for Soldier: 76
- 16 games played – Justice Crash Highlight Intro for Soldier: 76
- 20 games played – Boros Weapon Charm
- 24 games played – Legendary Mumen Rider-Soldier: 76 skin
The One-Punch Man cosmetics collection will be available until April 6, 2023, via the in-game shop. The anime series One Punch Man is available for streaming in the Philippines for free via Viu, WeTV, and Bilibili.
