
The Free Fire SEA Invitational (FFSI) Group Stage has concluded, and 12 teams have advanced to the Grand Finals, where they will battle it out for the championship title, scheduled for May 26 to 28, 2023.
Group Stage Highlights
During the Group Stage, which ran from May 12 to 21, teams from many different areas fought hard for a spot in the Grand Finals. This took place over six match days.
EVOS.Phoenix emerged as the frontrunner, with 163 kills and 5 Booyahs, accumulating a total of 322 points. Magic Esport placed second with 313 points from 154 kills and 3 Booyahs, followed by Team Flash with 298 points.
Meanwhile, EA.LIMIT from EArena emerged as the Most Valuable Player (MVP), amassing 46 kills and 30 assists with fearless gameplay.
Grand Finals qualifying teams
This weekend, May 26–28, will be the Grand Finals. There will be 18 matches over the course of three days. There will be six matches per day between the 12 teams, and only one team will be named the FFSI champion.
The 12 teams that have qualified for the FFSI 2023 Grand Finals are:
- EVOS.Phoenix (TH)
- Magic Esport (TH)
- Team Flash (VN)
- P Esports (VN)
- EArena (TH)
- Expand (MCPS-Malaysia, Cambodia, Philippines, and Sri Lanka)
- FW Esports (TH)
- First Raiders Eclipse (ID)
- Morph Team (ID)
- SBTC Esports (VN)
- Genesis Dogma SF (ID)
- G Arsy Aphrodite (ID)

Expand from the MCPS region won on Matchday 3 of the Group Stage. This gave it a big lead over the other teams and caught them off guard. The team kept doing well in the second week of the Group Stage. On Matchday 6, they won the last Booyah to make sure they would make it to the Grand Finals.
The new member of the Expand family, coach Hutomo, is responsible for a lot of the team's success. Hutomo, who was born in Indonesia, gave the team the extra direction and support it needed to reach its full potential. Expand, the underdog in the finals, will go up against big teams from Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam in an effort to make Malaysia and the MCPS region proud.
Where to watch Free Fire SEA Invitational (FFSI) 2023 Grand Finals online?
From 8 pm (GMT+8), all Grand Finals matches will be shown live on YouTube, which is the official livestream partner. On each day of the Grand Finals, the Pop-Pow Gloowall, Ray of Starlight Top, and TH Championship T-shirt will be offered as Viewer Milestone Rewards.

Before each day's matches, fans and followers can listen to live caster commentaries from 7:50 pm to 8 pm (GMT +8) to hear predictions for the finals and words of support for the MCPS teams.
