The second Closed Beta showcases some new features, major updates, enhanced gameplay experience, and an expanded roster, introducing 12 new players, including Domantas Sabonis, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Damian Lillard, and more.

In this Closed Beta, developers will test the game's in-game real currency purchasing features. First up, they allow players to purchase a wide range of player customization options. They want to provide players with a deeper level of personalization and empower them to express their unique style with a wide array of new clothing, shoes, and special effects. Additionally, they are introducing the MVP Pass, which will unlock exclusive rewards and bonuses for its holders.

As a token of gratitude for participating in the testing of the game's purchasing systems, developers will be returning all purchased Tokens, accompanied by bonus Diamonds equivalent to 25% of the total purchase amount made during this Closed Beta. These rewards will be delivered to participating players in their in-game mailbox when NBA Infinite officially releases.

Moreover, significant updates have been made to the Ranking System. The developer introduced a brand-new Leaderboard where players can showcase their skills and compete against players from around the world. Players will be able to earn prestigious titles as they continue to climb the ranks.

New Features for NBA Infinite 2nd CBT

Alley-Oops: Get ready to lob the rock up and slam it home because you can now execute Alley-Oops in games.

In 3v3, the off-ball player who has the ability to catch alley-oops should double tap to request the ball inside the three-point line. Only then will the ball handler receive instructions to throw an alley-oop pass. When the ball handler clicks on "alley-oop pass," a QTE bar will appear above the off-ball player's head. Clicking on "catch" within the green range of this bar will complete an alley-oop.

In Dynasty mode, only when you reach a certain distance from your teammate can you initiate an alley-oop pass by clicking on it. The game automatically selects a teammate for catching it. Clicking on "catch" within the green range of this QTE bar completes an alley-oop.

Lineup Sharing: The developers introduced a new feature that will share your team's current selected lineup to the game's chat channel. Opposing players can view your lineups by clicking the message in chat.

Player Real-Time Attributes: The game will give players a temporary increase or decrease to their stats based on real-world performance. If a player is on fire in the real world, they'll get a boost in their stats in the game. And if that player has gone ice cold, their in m-game stats will be reduced.

New Leaderboards: Ready to step your game up with new 3v3 and Dynasty Mode leaderboards? Players will be able to sort and view leaderboards by the number of MVPs, average score, average rebounds, average assists, and average steals in the last 10 games.

3-Point Contest Mode: Last but not least, the 3-Point Contest mode receives a major update. Previously, players shot five balls from five directions in the span of a minute, with regular balls being worth 10 points and special color balls worth 20 points.

Now, players can experience shooting basketballs that offer double points and stat bonuses:
  • Double point ball, fire ball, ice ball and extra-time balls are added.
  • Double point ball (golden) doubles the value of the next 2 balls.
  • Fire ball (red) increases your FG% by 50% for 3 shots.
  • Ice ball (blue) slows down the shot meter by 50% for 3 shots.
  • Extra-time ball (light green) grants 10 more seconds to the countdown time.
  • Hitting consecutive shots will earn additional score bonuses.
