Mobile Legends: Bang Bang developer Moonton Games has officially revealed the dates for MPL-PH Season 12 and MDL-PH Season 2.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Development League - Philippines (MDL-PH) Season 2 starts on August 29, 2023, with the inclusion of new teams and players joining the country's largest MLBB esports tournament for semi-professionals. Meanwhile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League - Philippines (MPL-PH) Season 12 starts on September 8, 2023, marking the beginning of a new era in which the best teams in the country will compete even more fiercely.
According to Moonton, the latest seasons aim to be the proving ground for Filipino teams to harness their newfound strength coming from the losses in the previous regional and global Mobile Legends esports tournaments.

MPL Philippines Season 12: Mas Pinas-Lakas!
MPL-PH Season 12 will again greet offline spectators on the ground. This time, the competition will allow 500 spectators per day to watch the games and see their favorite players in person. They can buy tickets at https://slashevent.com/ and select from the following options:

In-person viewers can get rewards by accomplishing the tasks found on MPL-PH Activity Passport. They will also be able to buy merchandise from their favorite teams on-site through MPL-PH Team Spotlight, in which two teams set up a booth for fans every week.
The 12th edition of the MPL-PH will introduce significant adjustments, beginning with a six-week tournament schedule. It is anticipated that new rosters, a revamped emblem system, unheard-of strategies, and return players will invigorate the competition.

- Johnmar "OhMyV33nus" Villaluna and Danerie "Wise" Del Rosario, the powerful duo of Blacklist International, will take a break and skip Season 12.
- Bren Esports is now called AP Bren. Their SEA Games 2023 roster will stay the same as they try to get M5.
- ECHO will also keep its main five, which will be shown off by the MSC 2023 list.
- MINANA EVOS has taken over Nexplay EVOS's spot in the MPL Philippines. They will have ten players and will be joined by the former player now coach Jeniel "YellyHaze" Bata-Anon.
- John "Irrad" Abarquez will be the full-time jungler for RSG PH.
- TNC Pro Team will have a 6-man lineup led by Ben "Benthings" Maglaque, who will take over as team captain from Jomarie "Escalera" Delos Santos. Escalera is now the leader of ONIC PH.
The league will run different programs for the community, like the MPL-PH Battle Trips, which give students and members of the community a chance to learn more about how to put on an esports broadcast and careers in the esports industry.
Further, another MPL-PH personality will be inducted into the Hall of Legends. The league will soon announce changes in the mechanics of selecting the awardee. On the other hand, MPL Philippines Season 12 match replays can now be watched for free from Monday to Friday of the following week on free TV thru PIE Channel.

MDL Philippines, the sister league of MPL-PH for semi-professional players, has expanded with the addition of new teams.

The matches are scheduled from Tuesdays through Thursdays from August 29 to October 5, 2023. The first matches of the day begin at 12:00 noon. Season 1 finalists GameLab and ECHO Proud will perform in the season's opening show.
Spectators will observe how player transfers between the MDL-PH and MPL-PH will play a crucial role in balancing the competition between the two leagues. The transfers to MPL-PH are intended to provide aspiring MDL players with a platform to create a name for themselves and demonstrate their strength in MLBB esports.
