Tournament Overview
For the fourth consecutive year, prominent global esports media platform ONE Esports and Mobile Legends developer MOONTON Games will organize the ONE Esports MPL Invitational (MPLI) 2023. The tournament, which will take place in Jakarta, Indonesia, from November 15 to 19, 2023, will be a significant milestone as MPLI goes offline and welcomes international teams from China, North America (NA), and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) for the first time.
The ONE Esports MPLI 2023 tournament will start with the Group Stage on November 15 and 16, followed by the Playoffs and Grand Final from November 17 to 19. The qualifying teams will compete live at the GBK Basketball Hall in Jakarta.
The tournament will feature 16 teams from eight countries and regions competing for a share of the USD 100,000 prize pool.

The all-new fan voting system brings a fresh twist
The ONE Esports MPLI 2023 tournament has introduced a new fan voting system. The new system allows supporters to determine the top eight teams in the first pool of the Group Stage.
The remaining eight teams will be assigned to the second pool, where the two will be divided into Groups A to D, with matchups between squads in the first pool as follows:
- First seed vs. eighth seed
- Second seed vs. seventh seed
- Third seed vs. sixth seed
- Fourth seed vs. fifth seed
After the first pool, the remaining eight teams will be placed randomly in either Groups A, B, C, or D. Each group will have four teams. During the Group Stage, the teams will compete in a Round Robin format, playing Best-of-1 (BO1) matches. The top two teams from each group will move on to the Playoffs. The group winners will advance to the upper bracket, and the second-placed teams will play in the lower bracket. Unfortunately, the last two teams in each group will be eliminated from the tournament.
Fan voting is currently underway. The results will be revealed on November 7, 2023, and the final group placements will be announced on November 10, 2023, across ONE Esports' social media channels.
Playoffs and Grand Final Format
The playoffs of ONE Esports MPLI 2023 will consist of a double-elimination best-of-three (BO3) format. The matches will be between Group A and Group D and between Group B and Group C. The Grand Final will be a thrilling best-of-five (BO5) format.
