Ani-One Asia announced the release date of the highly anticipated volleyball anime movie "Haikyuu!! The Dumpster Battle" in the Philippines.
In a Facebook post, Ani-One Asia, the Japanese animation content platform wholly owned by Medialink Group, confirmed the premiere date of the Haikyuu 2024 movie in the Philippines:
We proudly announce the theatrical release of the Movie "Haikyu!!: The Dumpster Battle" on May 15th in the Philippines, offering the most thrilling and immersive experience for the intense battle between Karasuno and Nekoma! Mark your calendars! See you at the cinema!
The film will also be available in Japanese with English subtitles.
Along with the official announcement is a poster showing Kenma Kozume (setter from Nekoma High) and Shoyo Hinata (middle blocker from Karasuno High and the protagonist of the Haikyuu series). The big text in the image reads: Let's play a game that can't be "repeated."
The Haikyuu final sequel anime film, "Haikyuu!! The Dumpster Battle," will showcase the Battle of the Garbage Dump arc, which features the long-awaited match between Karasuno High and Nekoma High.
It is expected that SM Cinema, will announce the showing dates and locations on April 25, 2024.
SM Cinema earlier shared a poster (with an orange-colored background) featuring three icons: a crow, a trash can, and a cat. The crow symbolizes Karasuno High volleyball team's mascot, while the cat represents the Nekoma High volleyball team's mascot.
The movie was first shown in Japan on February 16, 2024.
The manga "Haikyuu" was written by Haruichi Furudate and concluded in July 2020. In 2014, the anime adaptation started broadcasting.
