
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has officially released the March 2024 Civil Service Exam results, including the full list of passers for professional (Pro) and subprofessional (Sub-Pro) levels, as well as the top 10 passers of each level.

According to the government agency, a total of 57,683 out of 335,385 examinees passed the Civil Service examination held on March 3, 2024, in various testing centers nationwide, representing a 17.20 percent passing rate. Specifically, 51,311 examinees (17.22 percent of 297,952) passed the exam for the Pro level. Meanwhile, 6,372 examinees (17.02 percent of 37,433) passed the exam for the Sub-Pro level.
CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles said:
Congratulations to all the passers of the CSE-PPT. Your accomplishment not only reflects your personal capabilities but also underscores your preparedness to contribute significantly to the betterment of the civil service. Nawa ay manatili ang inyong determinasyon at sipag sa pagpasok sa serbisyo publiko. [May your determination and diligence remain in entering the public service].
Notably, Region 4 achieved the highest passing rate, with 9,473 passers out of 40,549 examinees, or 23.36 percent. It was followed by NCR with a 23.30 percent passing rate (12,690 passers out of 54,468 examinees). Region 3 ranked third with a 23.12 percent passing rate (4,541 passers out of 19,642 examinees).
CSC conducted the eligibility examination, Career Service Examination - Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT), on March 3, 2024, at all CSC regional offices in National Capital Region (NCR), Ilocos, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, CALABARZON/MIMAROPA, Bicol, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, CARAGA, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), and Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
The CSE-PPT Pro level covered the following subjects (in English and Filipino): Numerical Ability (basic operations, word problems), Analytical Ability (word association, identifying assumptions and conclusions, logic, data interpretation), and Verbal Ability (grammar and correct usage, vocabulary, paragraph organization, reading comprehension).
Meanwhile, the CSE-PPT Sub-Pro level covered the following subjects (in English and Filipino): Numerical Ability (basic operations, word problems), Clerical Ability (filing, spelling), and Verbal Ability (grammar and correct usage, vocabulary, paragraph organization, reading comprehension).
Both levels include General information items, including the Philippine Constitution, Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (R.A. 6713), Peace and Human Rights Issues and Concepts, and Environment Management and Protection.
The CSC has informed that test takers with a score of at least 80 percent rating will be eligible for a position in the civil service, subject to prerequisites and other conditions, such as education, experience, and training.
