The realme Mobile Legends Cup (RMC), which is made possible by a smartphone brand, is back for its 8th season to continue making legends. It is known as the biggest and longest amateur Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) event in the country. Teams that want to join the national e-sports arena and show they are the best at mobile gaming can now register.
To recall, the end of realme Mobile Legends Cup (RMC) Season 7 had an epic prize pool worth 1 million pesos. Smart Omega Empress and Z4 Esports Pegaxy were acclaimed as champions of their respective divisions. On the other hand, Smart Omega Empress made history by becoming the first winner of the RMC's first Women's League.
realme increased the stakes even more during the previous season by securing an official partnership with the Philippine Esports Organization (PESO). The victorious team advanced to the qualifiers for the World's Esports Championship in Romania, organized by the International Esports Federation, as part of a partner tournament.
realme Mobile Legends Cup (RMC) Season 8 - Overview
In an effort to further facilitate the participation of top gamers, the tournament has expanded to include mixed-gender, all-male, or all-female teams, giving them the opportunity to excel in Season 8 of the RMC. Officially kicking off the season through a partnership with the SM Cyberzone Challenger Series 2024, this new edition is certain to attain mythical proportions.
The on-ground qualifiers of RMC Season 8 will take place at the SM North Edsa Annex Event Center on May 25, 2024, from 10 AM to 1 PM Teams have to fight to get to the top and secure their slot for the quarter-finals bracket in June.
Teams must consist of five individuals who are 15 years of age or older in order to qualify. All minors are required to provide written consent from their guardians at the time of registration.
Moreover, All playoff-eligible player teams are required to comply with the basic dress code, which consists of wearing a shirt or jersey, pants, and closed shoes. Onstage attire such as sleeveless tops, shorts, and slippers is rigorously prohibited. Teams must be accessible and willing to participate in the qualifier match schedules established by the event organizers on May 25, 2024.
