Demon Slayer 'Infinity Castle' movie trilogy coming to PH cinemas

The highly anticipated conclusion of the global phenomenon, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, is coming to the big screen in the Philippines.

Anime streaming platform Crunchyroll announced the theatrical release of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle as a captivating trilogy film event. The final arc will be a three-part theatrical release distributed by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment in select Asian territories, including the Philippines. The release date is to be announced.

"Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" is an anime adaptation of the manga series by Koyoharu Gotoge, which was published by SHUEISHA's JUMP COMICS. The series has been in circulation for over 150 million copies and spans 23 volumes. Since its inception in 2018, the franchise has garnered the admiration of millions of fans worldwide.

The beginning of the story goes like this. Tanjiro Kamado, a young boy whose family is wiped out by a demon, enters the Demon Slayer Corps to turn his younger sister Nezuko back into a human following her transformation into a demon.

Demon Slayer was initially introduced in April 2019 with the Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc. Subsequently, the feature film Mugen Train was released in October 2020, and the TV series Mugen Train Arc and Entertainment District Arc were broadcast from 2021 to 2022. The Swordsmith Village Arc was released on Crunchyroll in 2023, shortly following the theatrical release of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Swordsmith Village-. The Hashira Training Arc was released in 2024, shortly following the theatrical release of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To Hashira Training-. ufotable is responsible for the animation production.
