Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women's Invitational (MWI) 2024 kicks off on July 24, with Smart Omega Empress representing the Philippines. The all-Cebuana roster, who are also the 2023 SEA Games MLBB silver medalists, will compete to take home the biggest share of the prize pool worth USD 500,000 (around PHP 29 million).

MWI 2024 officially announced the Group Stage schedule for the upcoming biggest MLBB esports tournament for women. The competition gathers 12 international teams to showcase their gaming skills to the world, starting July 24 at 12:00 (GMT+3) or 17:00 (GMT+8).
The event will provide female players the chance to become the best all-women MLBB team and offer a massive USD 500K prize pool, one of the largest in women's esports history. Indonesia's Team Falcons Vega (FLCV) and Cambodia's CFU Serendipity (CFU) will compete in the opening match.
Currently dominant Team Vitality (VIT) faces the biggest threat from FLCV (previously GPX Basreng). FLCV, the second-best squad in Indonesia, is perhaps the most hungry for the crown this year. Their talented lineup will compete against CFU's potential players, including jungler Rin "Tegami" Chanthana, known for her powerful Lancelot. They proved they could overcome difficulties in their qualifying match, as they reached the Cambodia qualifier grand finals from the lower bracket and defeated twenty Khmer teams.
Team Falcons MENA (FLCN) and Victory Song Gamers (VSG) of Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA) will face off on July 25, 2024. FLCN, the home team and the most promising team in the Middle East will try to establish a name for themselves against VSG. However, Russian team VSG hopes to dominate with its new roster, which includes Filipino imports.
Both Indonesia's Team Vitality (VIT) and the Philippines' Smart Omega Empress (OMGE) are tournament favorites and are predicted to dominate their groups, making their encounter in the Land of Dawn awaited.
Team Vitality, which was previously known as Bigetron Era (BTR), boasts an award-winning roster that includes Vivian "Vivi" Indrawaty, the "Indonesian Mother of Tanks" and the Southeast Asia Games MLBB Gold Medalist. They are the most likely team to secure the title this year after winning the first two iterations of MWI as BTR.
Smart Omega Empress, a long-standing rival of Vivi and the team, will be headed by its roamer, Mery Christine "Meraaay" Vivero. The team's primary objective is to exact revenge on the Indonesian powerhouse for their defeat in the last SEA Games 2023.
The Playoffs Stage will begin on July 26, 2024, with the top two teams from each group advancing. The team from each group with the fewest points will bid farewell to the tournament.
The initial day of the Playoffs Stage will be played in a single-elimination best-of-three (BO3) format. The second day, which happens on July 27, 2024, will feature a single-elimination best-of-five (BO5) match series.
