Nokia, a telecom firm, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PLDT Enterprise, the corporate business subsidiary of PLDT, to jointly deliver 5G private wireless network solutions to businesses across various industries in the country.
The partnership will enable organizations in a variety of sectors, including mining, port operations, and manufacturing, to increase operational efficiency, productivity, and customer experience by utilizing 5G technology. PLDT Enterprise will be able to broaden its service portfolio to provide customers with new solutions by leveraging Nokia's proven expertise in 5G and leading solutions.
PLDT is committed to broadening its wireless network's reach to include enterprises in addition to residential consumers.
Nokia's international expertise and experience in the construction of 5G private networks will assist PLDT Enterprise in providing support to its customers. To date, Nokia has implemented private wireless solutions for more than 730 clients worldwide.
According to Nokia, 5G private wireless networks allow enterprises worldwide to establish dedicated, high-bandwidth, secure, ultra-low-latency networks for real-time Industry 4.0 applications.
PLDT Enterprise, in partnership with Smart Communications Inc., the wireless division of PLDT, offers network connectivity that facilitates the digital transformation of enterprises in the Philippines.
