The Esports World Cup: Free Fire was won by Team Falcons of Thailand after five days of nerve-racking competition from July 10 to 14.
On the final day, the Thailand representative amassed a total of 106 points, which included 65 eliminations and 2 Booyahs. This resulted in a 7-point margin over the runner-up, EVOS Divine of Indonesia.
With their win, Team Falcons took home the largest share of USD 300,000 (around PHP 17 million) out of the tournament's massive USD 1 million prize pool (approximately PHP 58 million) and secured a slot in the year-end Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Global Finals 2024 set to take place in Brazil.
Meanwhile, EVOS Divine had to settle for a second-place finish, bagging USD 175,000 (roughly PHP 10 million) in consolation.
Moreover, Team Falcons earned 1,000 Club Points, while runners-up EVOS Divine collected 600 Club Points.
The Grand Final featured numerous intense encounters, with EVOS Divine (Indonesia) and Netshoes Miners (Brazil) clinching second and third place with 99 and 90 points, respectively, separated by narrow margins. Team Falcons emerged dominant with exceptional cooperation and captured the Esports World Cup: Free Fire championship title despite the fierce competition for the coveted crown.
Moshi of Buriram United Esports (Thailand) was awarded the Most Valuable Player (MVP) title and a USD 50,000 cash prize for his exceptional performance in the Esports World Cup: Free Fire. He achieved a remarkable 52 eliminations, 38,969 total damage, and an average accuracy of 23% across all matches that took place during the tournament.
Team Falcons' triumph in the recently concluded Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Southeast Asia 2024 Spring serves as yet another illustration of their superiority in the Free Fire competitions arena.
