OPPO Reno12 series rolls out Livephoto feature via OTA update

Livephoto feature is coming to OPPO Reno12 and Reno12 Pro smartphones via an OTA software update, OPPO Philippines announced.

According to the mobile brand, this exciting new feature started rolling out to the flagship OPPO Reno12 series smartphones through an over-the-air (OTA) update on July 31, 2024.

Here's how to get the Livephoto feature on your OPPO Reno12 or Reno12 Pro:
  1. Connect your phone to the internet.
  2. Go to [Settings] > [About device] > [ColorOS] and update to the latest version.
  3. After the download and installation are done, the system will require you to restart your device to apply the update.

The Livephoto function, available on the OPPO Reno12 and Reno12 Pro, revolutionizes the way users record and remember special moments by adding action and emotion to static photos.

Using the camera app, users can now capture and share lively and interesting experiences by shooting Livephotos at any focal length, applying retouching and beauty effects, customizing cover frames, and posting directly to Instagram (IG) Stories.

Further, the Livephoto feature brings a fresh perspective to ordinary photography, capturing the wonder of life in dynamic motion. It's ideal for taking pictures of portraits with hair blown by the wind, energetic pets, children playing, flowers swaying in the wind, and waves crashing on the shore.

OPPO said it "remains committed to enhancing the user experience through continuous innovation and updates."

Livephoto exemplifies OPPO's commitment to offering innovative technologies that enhance the way users record and share their most memorable moments.
