Apple has officially announced its latest AI-powered smartphones, including iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Check out their specs, features, and prices in the Philippines.
iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus - Key Features
The iPhone 16 series, the successor of the iPhone 15 series, is designed to enhance Apple Intelligence (the brand's own version of artificial intelligence) with the brand new A18 chip, and it includes Camera Control, notable upgrades to the advanced camera system, the Action button for fast access to useful features, and a significant increase in battery life.
Compared to the iPhone 15 series, the display sizes of the latest models are the same. The screen size of the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus is 6.1 and 6.7 inches, respectively. The refresh rate of both devices is 60Hz. But with smaller bezels, there is a clear difference. Meanwhile, Apple has changed the camera layout on the iPhone 16 Series so that it looks more like older models. Features that were carried over from the previous versions are the USB Type-C charging capabilities and Apple's Dynamic Island.
iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus were designed to work with Apple Intelligence, a user-friendly personal intelligence system that comprehends personal context to provide pertinent and beneficial intelligence while safeguarding user privacy.
Apple Intelligence enhances writing in new ways. iOS 18's systemwide Writing Tools lets users rewrite, proofread, and summarize content in Mail, Notes, Pages, and third-party apps. The Notes and Phone apps may record, transcribe, and summarize audio. Participants are notified when the Phone app records a call, and Apple Intelligence generates a summary to recall crucial points. Users can prioritize with summary notifications and Priority Messages in Mail, which recognizes email content and highlights time-sensitive communications. Summaries tell users the most significant parts of each email instead of previewing the first few paragraphs. With Siri and Writing Tools in iOS 18, users may simply access ChatGPT from OpenAI.
Moreover, the iPhone 16 lineup includes Camera Control, which provides users with new methods for capturing memories and enables them to rapidly access visual intelligence to learn about the objects or locations around them at a faster pace than ever before.
The camera system is equipped with a 48-megapixel Fusion camera that includes a 2x Telephoto option, providing users with the functionality of two cameras in one. Additionally, Apple added a larger battery to the iPhone 16, which can now operate for up to 22 hours during video playback and 27 hours on the iPhone 16 Plus. These new models also support MagSafe charging at a faster rate of 25W on a 30W power adapter or higher, which can provide a 50 percent charge in just 30 minutes.

iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max - Key Features
The iPhone 16 Pro lineup, which is designed for Apple Intelligence and powered by the A18 Pro chipset, features a significant increase in battery life, innovative pro camera features, bigger display sizes, and Camera Control.
The body of the iPhone 16 Pro series is made of Titanium alloy like their predecessors. This makes the devices lightweight and durable. The alloy is composed of aluminum and is externally fused with titanium. The iPhone 16 Pro Max features a 6.9-inch screen, whereas the iPhone 16 Pro has 6.3 inches. These power-efficient OLED screens have a refresh rate of 120Hz. Also, the bezels are notably slimmer than before.
