Monster Hunter Outlanders, an upcoming open-world RPG for mobile devices, was announced by Capcom and Tencent subsidiary TiMi Studio Group. The game, featuring an open-world map and an all-new character collection, will be available soon on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
However, the two companies have not yet revealed the official release date of Monster Hunter Outlanders. Meanwhile, they further noted that prior to the game's release, they will be conducting several play tests. To keep updated about the dates of these play tests, you can join its official Discord channel (https://ift.tt/ZjSIB5M), which will feature discussions about the mobile game, existing series, and opportunities to register for future play test opportunities.
According to TiMi and Monster Hunter creator Capcom, this "new, fully featured game from the iconic series" will pit "players against giant monsters in beautiful natural environments."
For the uninitiated, Monster Hunter, which was initially published in 2004, has become a global phenomenon, popularizing the cooperative (co-op) hunting of giant monsters. Unlike the other Monster Hunter mobile games, Monster Hunter Outlanders, the new addition to the series, is an open-world survival game set in the Monster Hunter world.
Here's what players can expect with the upcoming Monster Hunter Outlanders, according to the developers' words:
- Explore and survive unique regions of an open-world map featuring natural environments, ecosystems and monsters
- Craft and build individualized gear and tools
- Partake in the traditional hunting experience where you can play solo or join a hunting party of up to four
TiMi Studio Group, a game company renowned for its AAA mobile experiences such as Age of Empires Mobile, Call of Duty Mobile (CODM), and Pokémon Unite, will utilize the expansive world of Monster Hunter Outlanders as the setting for regular world events and activities. This will provide the community with numerous opportunities to engage in fun activities together during their in-game adventures.
Dong Huang, TiMi Studio Group producer, said:
It's time for mobile players to fully enjoy what makes Monster Hunter one of the most beloved franchises in gaming. Monster Hunter Outlanders not only offers players an authentic hunting experience, but it does it in a massive open world featuring the community and social systems players are looking for today.
The developer also encourages interested players to follow the Monster Hunter Outlanders' social media pages for the latest news and updates:
