The open-world MMO survival game Dune: Awakening gets a PC (Steam) release date, which is May 20, 2025, developer Funcom revealed. Meanwhile, release dates for console platforms (PlayStation and Xbox) are to be announced.
Interested players can now add the game to their Steam wishlist and might as well download the Character Creator, wherein they can create characters that can be imported at launch, and Benchmark Mode, for them to test their hardware.

Inspired by Frank Herbert's sci-fi novel and Legendary Entertainment's award-winning movie, Dune: Awakening is an open-world, multiplayer survival game. Funcom's professional developers created it to appeal to Dune and survival game fans.

Price and Pre-Order
The base game is officially priced at USD 49.99 (roughly PHP 2.9K), with pre-orders starting soon.
Further, Dune Awakening pre-orders include the Terrarium of Muad'Dib, a stunning in-base décor that contains the wise desert mouse.
Character Creator and Benchmark Mode
Download Dune Awakening's full Character Creator & Benchmark Mode on Steam (https://bit.ly/DuneAwakeningSteam) to receive a code for the free Frameblade knife skin that you can redeem in the game at launch.
Take the Gom Jabbar test and create your character to prepare for your epic Arrakis ascension. Perfect your appearance, then choose your home planet, caste, and mentor—Swordmaster, Mentat, Trooper, or Bene Gesserit. Your starting skills depend on your final choice; however, you can eventually access all Schools and mix and match abilities. Once created, the character can be saved and later imported into the game at the official release.
Besides character creation, launch the benchmark mode to test your PC performance and system compatibility and adjust your graphics settings to your liking. The fly-through sequence will take you to a player-built desert base at Harko Village, the moody, busy Harkonnen player hub, and epic scenes from the game, including flying with an ornithopter and a close encounter with a large sandworm.
