Blood Message, an upcoming AAA single-player action-adventure game set in Ancient China, was officially unveiled by NetEase Games and 24 Entertainment.
As per developers, Blood Message is "currently in development for PC and consoles," and they are using Unreal Engine 5 along with enhanced proprietary studio tools and technologies.
Zhipeng Hu, NetEase Executive Vice President and Lead Producer, said:
We are ushering players into a new generation of high adventure with Blood Message. As our first completely single-player focused experience from NetEase Games, after two decades of deep dedication to the gaming industry, we are prepared to deliver a truly epic and cinematic experience for players around the world.
Overview
Blood Message, NetEase Games' very first AAA single-player game, combines brutal survival gameplay with meaningful Eastern storytelling.
Described as cinematic and linear story-driven, check out the game's trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6IwsMWTVGI.
This Chinese-inspired third-person action-adventure game follows Dunhuang's revolt and the story of a nameless messenger and his child. Players must go east to deliver a message that could save their war-torn nation as part of a righteous revolt driven by family and country. They will write a final loyalty story in history.
We will expect a long journey in this game (about 1000 miles) that's set in the late Tang Dynasty of China. Travel perilous deserts and East and Central Asian wilderness to survive sieges, harsh terrain, and formidable odds. The game's setting in the late Tang Dynasty frames the tale with Chinese customs, culture, and history.
Key Features
Once Blood Message is launched, here are some features we can anticipate.
- Cinematic-driven narrative gameplay
- Authentic stealth-survival combat
- A stirring exploration of family, sacrifice, honor, and cultural identity
- Large vistas inspired by East and Central Asian terrains like Dunhuang
I will just remind you guys again that Blood Message will launch on PC and console platforms. If you know the wuxia action battle royale game Naraka Bladepoint, they have the same developer, 24 Entertainment. – PinoyTechSaga
