Free Fire X Naruto Chapter 2: Ninja War unveiled

Following the success of Free Fire's Nine Tails Strikes event earlier this year, Naruto Shippuden Chapter 2: Ninja War returns from July 30 to August 31, 2025, reigniting the battle between the Hidden Leaf Village and the Akatsuki with an even deeper lineup of gameplay and fan-favorite content.

In this second chapter of Garena Free Fire's biggest anime IP collaboration, players will soon master authentic ninjutsu across Battle Royale, Clash Squad, and the all-new Lone Wolf mode. From powerful Akatsuki Keepsakes and reverse-color Itachi bundles to the epic Free Fire All Stars: Ninja Clash on August 9-10, this chapter delivers a fresh wave of excitement for Naruto Shippuden fans and Free Fire players alike.

Further, Social Island, Bermuda, the Hidden Leaf Village pre-game area, and more, will be energized by three Naruto theme songs.

New Gameplay Features

Battle Royale mode

Free Fire's BR mode pits players against the Akatsuki in Bermuda's transformed Hidden Leaf Village. A massive Planetary Devastation Sphere has destroyed the village, releasing shards into a gaping hole. Naruto's Divine Tree grows nearby, and as the Red Moon emerges, a new Tsukuyomi area immerses players in a bizarre Akatsuki-dominated battle zone.

There will be one Akatsuki Keepsake hidden in each Tsukuyomi-affected location. Find up to six to unlock rogue ninja-inspired ninjutsu:

1. Deidara's Keepsake: a clay bird is controlled and bursts mid-air
2. Hidan's Keepsake: deflects damage and boosts the user
3. Itachi's Keepsake: attacks with black Amaterasu flames
4. Kisame's Keepsake: summons extra-damaging biting sharks
5. Konan's Keepsake: attacks nearby enemies with paper
6. Pain Tendo's Keepsake: draws foes to the user

Free Fire will provide 8 new Jutsu skills inspired by iconic Naruto characters, like the first wave:

1. Detonating Clay Bird: commands a detonating clay bird to fly
2. Flying Raijin Jutsu: teleports the user to Minato Kunai's mark
3. Izanagi Revive: self-revival for faster HP recovery
4. Katsuyu Summoning: summons healer Katsuyu to help teammates
5. Paper Emissary Jutsu: papers burst around the nearest enemy
6. Sand Shield: more shield points, faster recovery
7. Shadow Stitching: precision immobilizes adversaries
8. Sharingan: copies the nearest enemy's active skill

Players can engage with special coin machines throughout matches to obtain buffs from Akatsuki or Hidden Leaf Village ninjas.

Clash Squad mode

Clash Squad battles will get a ninja twist with Cyber Airdrops, now Divine Tree Airdrops, comprising Red Moon Points. The Red Moon phase warps the area under the Red Moon sky and unlocks special buffs and an exclusive shop for the team with three points.

Naruto-Themed Collectibles

In Free Fire's Epic Ninja Trials interface, redeem Naruto-themed rewards:

• Orochimaru Bundle and Avatar (Grand Prize): Complete all five trials with legendary ninjas Itachi, Madara, Orochimaru, Pain Tendo, and Ten Tails' Jinchuriki Obito in the final showdown
• 10 Royale Vouchers per character: Itachi, Madara, Obito, Pain Tendo
• Akatsuki Title: Acquire by collecting all six Keepsakes
• More freebies to claim: Akatsuki-themed parachute, Rogue Ninja Headband, Triple-Bladed Scythe

In the Free Fire Luck Royale, more collectibles are available:

• Exclusive Skins: The much-awaited Itachi Bundle includes Free Fire's first reverse-color transformation, a Loot Box special effect, and enemy knockdown effects. Popular Minato, Obito, Pain Tendo, and Madara bundles feature blinking animations for more genuine character detail.
• Weapons: Parang - Shark Skin, Minato's Kunai dagger, Akatsuki-themed AK47 and M60 skins, MP40 - Uchiha's Legacy skin with transformation and Infinite Tsukuyomi-themed Final Shot effect.
• Emotes: Garena Free Fire's rare Super Emote summons a huge Susano'o that transforms Hidden Leaf Village's surroundings. Players can try the Reanimation Jutsu to sync actions with teammates. The Final Battle, Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu, Forehead Poke, and a dramatic Arrival Animation with scattered crows are other emotes.

Free Fire All Stars: Ninja Clash

The Free Fire All Stars will battle head-to-head at CentralWorld in Bangkok, Thailand, from August 9–10, 2025. Fans may follow Free Fire's Facebook and YouTube channels as eight top teams from Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Brazil, and Latin America fight for a share of the USD 100,000 prize pool.

RRQ Kazu and EVOS Divine from Indonesia, LOS and Fluxo from Brazil, Buriram United Esports and Team Falcons from Thailand, Movistar R7 from Mexico, and WAG from Vietnam are competing.

In other news, Indonesia's EVOS Divine recently won the Esports World Cup: Free Fire 2025. As champions, they bagged the USD 300K grand prize and earned a slot for the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Global Finals.
