A digital preview event for Where Winds Meet, NetEase and Everstone Studio's highly anticipated open-world Wuxia action-adventure RPG for PC and PS5, unveiled new features and gameplay. The studio celebrated the game's 10 million pre-registrations at the event.

Where Winds Meet - Global Launch Preview Event Highlights

At the preview event, the studio showed viewers the game's features and gameplay due later this month.
The demo began with an introduction of how players begin their adventure in Qinghe, a calm location of vast plains and hidden mysteries, prior to entering Kaifeng, a dynamic historic metropolis with 10K+ NPCs with unique motivations and stories. 1.2K+ cultural artifacts make exploration a voyage through living heritage.
Moreover, the studio announced that "Where Winds Meet" will be fast, adaptable, and customizable. Players can learn swords and spears or try Wuxia fantastical weapons like umbrellas and fans. Four-time Hong Kong Film Award winner Stephen Tung Wai choreographed 12 martial arts sequences and 23 mystical techniques in the game.
Players must put together evidence from the environment, NPCs, and artifacts to unravel an imperial court plot in both public and hidden storylines.
During the stream, Where Winds Meet developers proudly stated that all in-game content is free: no restrictions on game modes or progression. EverStone Studio announced during the global launch preview that "All the newly-released gameplay will be completely free to play." Explore, fight, or live as a wanderer in a world of love, justice, and limitless possibilities in every game mode.
Earlier, the game's Post-Launch Seasonal Roadmap was revealed. EverStone Studio will release themed seasonal updates, starting with "Blade Out," to deepen the story and include new gameplay. Seasons will expand the storyline and introduce new game modes and limited-time events, confirming the game's status as the first Wuxia open-world.
Meanwhile, EverStone Studio gave all players a welcome gift at launch and promised additional surprises in-game as the livestream ended with a thank you. For those who pre-register, 10 lucky gamers will receive a share of the 2,000 USD vacation fund.
