Once Human is debuting enemy fusion mechanics in its Visional Wheel's Season 3 update on January 21, 2026 (PT). New Deviants, deadlier Deviant Zones, and the ability to merge with enemy Deviants are also coming in this major update.
Enemy Fusion Mechanics
Once Human players will come closer to the Deviants. The Fusion mechanic in the Visional Wheel S3 update will allow you to merge with particular Deviants you defeated, granting you some of your unique abilities and traits and changing their look.
The fusion process includes equipping the head of your beaten enemy, forming a symbiotic relationship that offers faction-specific abilities and boosts support for exploring the larger Deviant Zones.
3 New Types of Deviant Zones Coming
In Visional Wheel S3, Deviant Zones have evolved and contain rare and strong loot. The environment is now more deadly than ever, yet players can combine with Deviants to become adaptable and explore without dying.
Three new types of Deviant Zones, each with its distinct variants, are as follows.
Wild Deviant Zone - Giant animals roam abandoned buildings in these primitive lands. Weapons and technology are diminished, and melee-focused foes force the player to adapt.
Mirror Deviant Zone - Deceptive reflections and mirror-spawned buildings make these intriguing locations even more perplexing. Deviants lurk in the illusory landscape to snipe enemies from afar.
Phantasmal Deviant Zone - The environment and opponents vary between real and illusion, making players doubt everything they see and letting enemies hide in plain sight.
New Deviants and More Gameplay Updates
Three formidable new Deviants require strategy and expertise to defeat, making Nalcott more lethal.
The Devourer - This enormous beast waits in mines for fools to raid its resources. Too much greed and deep digging will unleash this creature, which bursts from mine tunnels and hunts hunters.
The Sonivore - The indestructible beast stalks players using sounds. It cannot be defeated by human weapons or technology; thus, the only way to obtain its loot is to make noise. You can beat the Infant Sonivore in battle to get its treasures.
The Hoarder Bug - This thief loves to hoard stuff from overworked players. It stores its loot in a mound in its nest. Since stolen loot is permanently tagged, the Hoarder Bug will pursue any player caught stealing in battle and in the future.
On January 21, 2026, Once Human will have cross-server matches for the "Survive, Capture, Preserve" Deviation Scenario, Territory blueprint sharing via codes, and RaidZone character class and gameplay updates.
I want to know if you're also excited to fuse with rival Deviants for survival. – PinoyTechSaga
