Hexi, the first major expansion update for the beloved Wuxia ARPG Where Winds Meet, will launch on March 6, 2026, on PC, PlayStation, and mobile.
Jade Gate Pass, the first of three chapters, introduces a stunning desert area, new narratives, bosses, martial arts styles, and gameplay features.
Players will access Hexi's three chapters—Jade Gate Pass, Liangzhou, and Qinchuan—in order from March to May 2026. From deserts to ice fields to grasslands, each chapter presents fresh challenges. Hexi's three major maps, approximately twenty sub-regions, eleven distinct bosses, seven Jianghu Legacies, and an array of side quests make it a unique expansion with extensive content.
I should also add, don't forget to redeem this new Where Winds Meet code, HEXI0306, to claim free rewards. It contains Echo Jade x100, Resonating Melody x1, and Coin x20000. The redemption code is only valid from now until the beginning of June.
Hexi Narrative
Players enter a Tang Dynasty dream in the Hexi expansion update, which takes place outside the game's main timeline. Hexi's plot and gameplay are cinematic.
As the developers push limits and bring something new to the table, gamers will become characters in history and see the times and the destiny of regular people trapped in history. Hexi's main story is unusual because ordinary individuals produce history.
Chapter 1: Jade Gate Pass Features Desert Exploration Gameplay
Jade Gate Pass combines sand, poetry, and generations of hope in a desert.
After the patch update, gamers will get Cosmic Reversal and Sand Chaser, two new tricks to enhance their desert adventure. Sand Chaser lets you surf on the ground, and Cosmic Reversal lets you reverse time and reconstruct desert ruins to overcome obstacles, reveal secrets, and solve puzzles. Your creativity and curiosity may be enough. Matchmaking fights will be accompanied by greater gameplay pleasure and strategic depth. Heroic Gauntlet and Sand Table Struggle will also be limited-time additions.
New Campaign Boss: Guo Xin
'White-Crown City' campaign launches with this update. This border gate between Jade Gate Pass and Liangzhou Area has been a significant feature of historical frontier defense and an east-west junction for ages. The once-bustling pass is now abandoned as time slowly erodes its glory.
This isolated outpost is guarded by Guo Xin, the last Grand Protector of Anxi. Time has transformed his hair white as he watches over the frontier alone, while you experience everything on this desolate terrain and discover history's secrets.
New World Boss: The Wandering Ark
The Wandering Ark, a massive ship that roams the sand sea, is a world boss.
The ship's massive hull appears to cut across the night in a sandstorm, forcing players to carefully target its weak spots as they switch between ranged and melee battle. Players can explore Hexi's Wandering Ark lore.
Two New Martial Art Styles
A new path, Bamboocut Dust, and two new Martial Arts will be added to the Jade Gate Pass.
Spring Dreamscape, an Umbrella-style agility art, excels in compact locations and group skirmishes with flowing, limitless combos.
The second, Fleeting Clouds, is a Rope Dart art for massive AOE strikes. Its wide-ranging techniques are great for crowd control, and in one-on-one duels, you can hunt foes for unrelenting damage.
