MPL Philippines Season 17 has become the country's top weekend esports event. It has turned into a vibrant stage, attracting passionate Mobile Legends fans and a lineup of Filipino athletes and celebrities who come to experience the thrill live.
The MPL PH S17 Regular Season has featured a stellar array of sports, entertainment, and online content creators in its first three weeks. These renowned guests attended and were recognized by the MPL PH Wall of Fame, which honors Filipinos who have excelled in various fields.

Per Moonton Games, the MPL PH Wall of Fame is a storytelling platform that unites excellence across disciplines. Every honoree represents "Palag Na To," MPL PH S17's theme. The campaign represents champions' strength, resilience, and unwavering will to overcome obstacles, whether in esports or in traditional settings.
MPL PH shows that excellence is universal by highlighting these figures. These athletes and personalities embody the same grit, dedication, and resilience seen in every match, making them significant and impactful for the community. When they join, the league turns "Palag Na 'To" from a rallying cry into a shared experience that inspires anybody who wants to overcome challenges.
MPL Philippines honored Michael Christian Martinez, the first Southeast Asian and tropical skater to qualify for the Winter Olympics, in the opening week.
Martinez recounted his initial encounter with Mobile Legends, stating:
All of my friends invited me to play, then all of a sudden I got addicted to it na, and then I started purchasing skins already.
Also present in the MPL PH Season 17 opening week were Southeast Asian Games gold medalists Geli Bulaong and Justin Kobe Macario.
Macario, a taekwondo jin who won PH's first gold medal at the 2025 SEA Games, astonished fans with his visit. He had never watched an MPL PH match live before, despite being an avid ONIC PH fan. He and former MMA fighter Bulaong, who now coaches, attended day 3 of Week 1 of the regular season. Both athletes were hyped as they watched AP Bren vs TNC Pro Team and Team Falcons PH vs ONIC PH matches.
Macario stated:
Moreover, MPL PH highlighted young cycling star Zedric Honorica last weekend, whose story has garnered national attention. Honorica, 21, broke a two-decade-old Philippine record in the men's elite sprint at the Asian Track Cycling Championships 2026 in 10.865 seconds. Against international athletes wearing high-performance gear, he rode the same bike he used as a food delivery cyclist. His win shows grit, resourcefulness, and boundless determination, not simply speed.
Honorica is a Team Liquid PH fan and Mobile Legends player who likes Khufra. One of his dreams has always been to see MPL live, which makes his recognition at the league a strong reminder of how enthusiasm for competitiveness unifies players across disciplines.
Honorica shared:
Sobrang nakakakaba kasi may kinakampihan akong team tapos eventually nanalo sila so sobrang saya na makapanood ng live... Nakaraang taon ko pa talagang wishlist na makapanood ng live, may ipon na rin talaga sana ako para dito and then tinupad ninyo.
The MPL PH Arena also welcomed athlete-turned-actor John Vic De Guzman, who loves competitive sports and esports. The captain of the 2019 SEA Games men's volleyball team that won a silver medal recounted his amazing "Palag Na 'To" experience of leading the country to a podium finish against stronger, more established, and more advanced teams. As a current GMA Sparkle artist, volleyball pundit, and Mobile Legends aficionado, he promotes Filipino competition in esports and sports.
De Guzman mentioned:
Ever since gustong-gusto ko na talaga manuod ng live action ng MPL Philippines kasi during the pandemic sobrang lakas ng tinaas ng Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and yun din ang nilaro namin all the way and nakita namin kung gaano kaganda at gaano kadaming natulungan nitong MLBB... yung mga players na talagang gustong-gusto maglaro ng online games and nabigyan sila ng opportunity para doon sa mga hilig nila.
Further, MLBB's Summer Break event featured the famed dance group SexBomb Girls, whose enthusiasm and dancing routines were translated to an interactive in-game experience. The event's centerpiece was the "Get, Get Aw!" Battle Emote, inspired by the group's style and performances.
Rochelle stated:
Aira also cited:
Sobrang na-excite ako, hindi ako makapaniwala talaga kasi syempre hindi naman namin ine-expect to… ang sarap lang ng feeling na this is not just a collaboration for MLBB for us na yung ML at Sexbomb nag-collab, hindi eh, parang generation to generation. Meron tayong generation ng Sexbomb but then we have the new generation na naco-connect kami sa kanila. Sobrang thankful kami sa MLBB, hindi pa huli, there's no limit sa buhay. Akala namin matatapos na kami sa concerts, may MLBB pa pala.
To my readers who are also MLBB gamers, I'd be delighted to know your reaction to the ever-expanding roster of Pinoy celebrities and athletes growing fond of the mobile MOBA game. – PinoyTechSaga
