Guild Wars Reforged sets test in PH; global launch in summer

Guild Wars Reforged, ArenaNet's new mobile RPG, will first conduct a test in the Philippines and three more countries before its planned global launch in summer 2026.

Prior to its release, interested players and fans of the online role-playing game franchise can pre-register for Guild Wars Reforged. The pre-registration is initially available to Android users (via Google Play) and later to iOS users (via Apple App Store).

Guild Wars Reforged, per developer ArenaNet, features "a new user interface and control setup specifically designed for mobile play."

New players will have the opportunity to download and play specific sections of Guild Wars Reforged for free as an advertisement-supported client when the game is released on mobile.

The original Prophecies campaign is accessible through the free-to-play experience, while the remaining content of the game will be available for purchase.

To expand your Guild Wars Reforged journey, you can buy the USD 6.99 (roughly PHP 423) standalone add-on for each campaign. This will also remove ads, allow chat and trading, and sync characters and progress with ArenaNet accounts for that price.

Players with the Guild Wars Reforged PC version and an ArenaNet account can move their purchases and progress to their mobile devices without any charge. Since it also supports cross-platform play, mobile and PC users will share servers.

Mobile testing will start in the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. This summer will see the global rollout. ArenaNet accounts should be used to log in on mobile to transfer Guild Wars Reforged progress. New mobile users can log in using their Mobile IDs and convert to ArenaNet to continue progressing on other platforms. Currently, Mobile IDs can't be linked to Steam accounts.

The Guild Wars Reforged team aims for mobile players to enjoy Guild Wars with the same joy and passion as original PC players did twenty-one years ago. You will still collect skills in Tyria, battle in tactical combat that honors skill, and explore this wonderful world without energy capping or other gimmicks.

To Pinoy Guild Wars players and fans, I would like to see your reaction, expectation, or feedback on the franchise's new party-based action RPG. – PinoyTechSaga
