The release date of Imperial Palace, the much-awaited second major expansion update for the open-world Wuxia ARPG Where Winds Meet, is May 28, 2026, Everstone Studio and NetEase confirmed.
Following the conclusion of the Hexi expansion, Where Winds Meet now opens the Imperial Palace, normally a place forbidden to folk outside the royal court, for players to witness the machinations and intrigue, conspiracies, and Royal goings-on.

This expansion reveals a long-buried royal narrative with a heavy price for every action, setting the stage for a summer of new campaigns, world bosses, and exciting multiplayer trials.
The over 1 million-square-meter Kaifeng Imperial Palace is based on historical sources. 3,000+ dynamic NPCs form a living, ever-changing palace environment from great ceremonial halls to secret niches.
Where Winds Meet players can live varied lives in the Front Court, Central Bureaus, and Inner Quarters. In addition, legends say the emperor built a mysterious new treasury for brave travelers to find.
Wanderers who enter the palace for an investigation will unexpectedly join the court's top intelligence agency, the Office of Martial and Virtue. As covert agents, gamers will complete daily duty assignments while uncovering power's secrets.
Daily culture thrives behind the Imperial Palace's rigorous rule. Seasonal Ice Frolicking, Cricket Fighting, and a considerable exploration system are available.
Further, players can try jailbreaks, eat the royal dinner, or find hidden martial arts experts in the palace. Daring wanderers can also try to sit atop the Dragon Throne, but it may cost them.
Finally, June will see the themed Dragon Boat Festival. Traditional Five Elements exercises, handcrafting gifts for Jianghu partners, and immersion in traditional customs can yield great rewards.
