Team Spirit has become the first team from outside Southeast Asia to win an official international Mobile Legends: Bang Bang major tournament, defeating Yangon Galacticos 4-3 in the grand finals of MLBB Mid Season Cup (MSC) at the 2026 Esports World Cup (EWC) on August 1 in Paris.
The champions from the Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA) region secured the grand prize of USD 1 million from the USD 3 million prize pool as well as 1000 Club Points. Meanwhile, runners-up from Myanmar earned USD 500k in consolation and 750 Club Points.
Team Spirit's win ended the tournament with some of the emerging regions' most competitive performances in its nine-year existence.
In the Group Stages, previous MSC winners Team Liquid Philippines (2025) and Malaysia's Selangor Red Giants (2024) lost to rising regions.
Team Spirit defeated Malaysia's Team Vamos and Indonesia's ONIC in the Knockout Stage to become the fourth region to clinch the MSC trophy, following Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia.
To finish third, ONIC beat Team Falcons PH in the third-place match with a clean sweep, 3-0.

Meanwhile, zauregoist, a 16-year-old prodigy, captivated assassin mains around the world with his clever Hirara plays.
MSC at EWC 2026 became the event's most-watched tournament to date, reaching 2.89 million peak concurrent viewers, according to Esports Charts.
The result comes during a milestone year for Mobile Legends, with MSC and MWI making their European debut and the M8 World Championship Finals set to take place in Istanbul, Türkiye.
The team that secured the MLBB Women's International (MWI) 2026 title is Team Vitality from Indonesia.
