Garena announced that they are developing Palworld Online, a multiplayer survival-adventure mobile game based on the globally successful Palworld IP, slated for release in 2026. The Singapore-based developer noted that the new MMORPG is officially licensed by the Japanese game company Pocketpair.
Palworld Online brings the depth, scale, and freedom of the PC survival creature-collecting game to mobile. It presents a unique narrative setting and original story components in an MMO ecosystem.
Per Garena, Palworld Online has "a seamless, interconnected open world" that lets players travel with mysterious "Pals" and progress together anytime, anywhere.
Here are some of the features we can expect with Palworld Online.
Open World for Exploration and Creature Collecting
Explore a large, linked ecosystem with your Pals to find treasures, lore, and challenges. Each encounter is meant to strengthen player-companion bonds, from capturing and raising Pals to accessing new regions on the map. Palworld Online will add fresh side storylines made for this edition to the original story and unique lore.
Online Play and Co-op Progression
Participate in cooperative and competitive activities, create groups, construct shared settlements, meet other players, and compete in PvE and PvP battles with friends. For a slower pace, visit others' bases, hunt rare Pals, or face raging bosses.
Crafting and Survival in a Shared World
Create a shared home base with friends for crafting, defense, and daily life. Expanding structures and using Pals to protect the settlement and automate production allow you to focus on building a communal living area.
Designed for Mobile Device Accessibility
Palworld Online, optimized for mobile play, has a streamlined, touch-friendly user interface with optional one-tap controls that simplify base planning, construction, Pal deployment, and relocation on handheld devices without sacrificing detail or flexibility across an array of phone specifications.
Terry Zhao, Garena president, stated:
Palworld is a widely recognized IP, and we see an opportunity to bring the essence of the PC title to mobile in a way that encourages players to connect and venture together. Working closely with Pocketpair, we are focused on preserving the depth, immersion, and freedom that define Palworld, while thoughtfully optimizing the experience for mobile play.
Takuro Mizobe, Pocketpair CEO, shared:
Garena has extensive experience in global publishing, localization, and live operations for mobile games. We are pleased to work with Garena on the licensed development of Palworld Online and look forward to seeing a new Palworld experience brought to players worldwide.
Garena cited that they will reveal more details, including the official launch timeline, at a later date.
