NetEase Games on Thursday (November 4) officially launched Marvel Super War Season 8. The update brings various new content inspired by Marvel Studios’ Eternals, including new heroes, events, and rewards.
To celebrate the debut of Marvel Studios’ Eternals, MOBA mobile game Marvel Super War will host a themed event inspired by the film over the next few weeks, featuring heroes from the Eternals.
The Eternals, immortals brimming with alien might, have lived secretly among humanity on this planet for thousands of years. With the debut of these superheroes on the big screen, Marvel Super War S8 also begins with the Eternals’ arrival on the battlefield of Wakanda.
Three heroes from Eternals will join the Marvel Super War hero roster. Thena, an elite warrior who can manipulate cosmic powers to create any weapon, takes the lead and will join the game as a Fighter. Additionally, Ikaris and Sersi will join the hero pool later this season.
In line with the celebration of Marvel Studios’ Eternals premiere, Marvel Super War will launch a series of updates for several weeks to enlighten players about the Eternals’ history.
Throughout the event’s duration, players can earn mementos by completing tasks and learning about Eternal’s secluded life and previous adventures.
Meanwhile, don’t forget to claim bonuses such as an Eternals-themed avatar frame and lobby background. Additionally, this season will feature skins inspired by Marvel Studios’ Eternals for Thena, Ikaris, and Sersi.
With the start of the new season, big in-game promotions will be available as well. Iron Man’s legendary costume “Planetary Armor,” as well as several rare skins, will be discounted for a limited time.
Moreover, events such as the Lucky Wheel and Daily Log-Ins will help you earn more rewards.
For the uninformed, Marvel Super War is a free-to-play mobile multiplayer online battle arena game set in Wakanda. A 5v5 battle is featured on the game’s map. It features over 50 Marvel superheroes and villains who are all unique.
The MOBA game is currently available only in the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, India, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, Australia, and New Zealand. Marvel Super War is not a global release title.
