List of Winners of The Game Awards 2021
The Game Awards 2021 has revealed the best video games of the year. The physical event was held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California, on December 9 and was live-streamed across more than 40 digital platforms.
This year, two games tied for the most awards, namely It Takes Two, a co-op adventure platformer, and Forza Horizon 5, an open-world racer. The former was named Game of the Year, as well as Best Family and Best Multiplayer. Meanwhile, the latter was awarded Best Sports/Racing, Best Audio Design, and Innovation in Accessibility.
Moreover, the event showcased new trailers for upcoming video games such as Hellblade II: Senua’s Saga, The Expanse: A Telltale Series, Alan Wake II, and Star Wars Eclipse; a trailer for the Sonic movie sequel and Halo. The Game Awards 2021 also presented a segment featuring Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Ann Moss from The Matrix, who promoted the upcoming Matrix Resurrections film and the Matrix Awakens demo, an interactive experience now available for download on the PS5 and Xbox Series X.
