Game companies NetEase Games and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have revealed the new trailer for Harry Potter: Magic Awakened on May 20, 2022, during the NetEase Connect 2022 event.
The NetEase Games’ annual product launch event was hosted by IGN Japan’s Daniel Robson and Esra Krabbe and aired in Japanese and English on the official NetEase Games social media pages via Facebook, Twitch, and YouTube.
“Harry Potter: Magic Awakened” is a multi-platform, real-time role-playing card game that reanimates the Harry Potter wizarding world. It is set several years after the novel’s events. The protagonist is a first-year student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Similar to Harry, Ron, and Hermione, the player undertakes a quest to become a first-class wizard.
The collectible card (CCG) and role-playing (RPG) game will be available on multiple platforms, including iOS, Android, and PC, and will feature cross-progression, allowing you to transfer your progress between consoles.
Anyone can explore Harry Potter’s wizarding world. With the assistance of J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series, they can enjoy a new storyline through school life and adventures. The game’s objective is for players to hone their wizard skills while engaging in real-time card battles.
The enhanced quality of the narrative and combat entices players to enter a world of witchcraft.
The simultaneous global release of the latest trailer was announced on May 20, 2022. The trailer depicts the journeys of diverse individuals to the world of Harry Potter Magic Awakened, including white-collar workers commuting by train, a woman searching for a book in a library, and a baseball player.
The video trailer also includes glimpses of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry life.
Harry Potter: Magic Awakened is scheduled for a closed beta test in 2022. A pre-registration is also set to begin.
In preparation for collaboration with “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore” (which premiered on April 8, 2022), the game will feature cards of fantastic creatures appearing for the first time in the movie series.
In a timely manner, NetEase Games will announce additional information regarding closed-beta tests, pre-registration, and collaboration.
