Sibol Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) squad is advancing to the grand finals of the 31st Southeast Asian Games after defeating Singapore via a reverse sweep, 2-1, in their semis match in Hanoi, Vietnam, Thursday afternoon.
After losing the first game of the best-of-three series, Philippines esports team Sibol won the next two to secure the win.
The Philippines, who won the inaugural MLBB competition at the 2019 Southeast Asian Games in Manila, will face the winner between Indonesia and Malaysia in tomorrow’s gold medal match.
Prior to their semis match against Singapore, the Sibol MLBB squad swept the entirety of Group A to register a perfect 6-0-0 standing with nine points.
With their semis win, the Philippines is assured of at least silver in the 2022 SEA Games. Meanwhile, Singapore will now move to the bronze medal match.
