Garena’s Arena of Valor International Championship (AIC) 2022 has concluded with AOG’s V Gaming (VGM) from Vietnam claiming the coveted championship title and the biggest slice of the USD 2 million prize money, dominating the Grand Final with a score of 4-1.
Highlights of the tournament
The AIC 2022 was jointly organized by Garena and Level Infinite. It featured 16 teams from 10 regions competing for the prestigious title and the largest share of the USD 2,000,000 prize pool.
The road to the championship for VGM was not an easy one. After losing 1-4 to ONE in the Semifinals, VGM displayed outstanding teamwork and skills to earn a spot in the Grand Finals. VGM eventually defeated ONE by a score of 4-1 at the Arena of Valor International Championships, bringing home the team’s first-ever championship trophy.
Maris of VGM was named “FMVP of the Tournament” and was awarded USD 30,000 in prize money.
AIC 2022 Grand Final Virtual Performance
This year, the AIC 2022 Grand Final began with a captivating virtual performance by Butterfly, a DJ remix show of the AIC 2022 theme song “New Rivals, New Honor,” the AIC 2021 theme song “Time Makes Heroes,” and “WaVe Star” and “Ride On” by AoV idol group WaVe.
The Grand Final of the AIC 2022 ended with a thrilling match between VGM and ONE.
