HoYoverse has officially announced that the Genshin Impact 3.1 update is set to release on September 28, 2022. The latest Genshin Impact version 3.1 patch, titled "King Deshret and the Three Magi," brings three new playable characters. It will also introduce a vast desert area, and the stories and adventures in the Sumeru region will continue here. Players can also expect more stories, events, mini-games, and rich rewards. Compared to the tropical rainforest, the harsh, dangerous beauty of Sumeru's desert stands in stark contrast. In the center of the desert stands the majestic Mausoleum of King Deshret, which is surrounded by dungeons filled with puzzles, mechanisms, and robotic guardians powered by the ancient technologies of the deceased god and his ancient civilization. Aaru Village, the biggest settlement of the desert people, is a safe haven for exiled scholars and a treasure trove of knowledge. Sumeru's Archon Quest continues to uncover as more factions appear, including two Fatui Harbingers, Il Dottore and Scaramouche, as players explore the desert region.
Two new Boss Enemies will be mechanical monstrosities powered by unknown technologies. The Algorithm of Semi-Intransient Matrix of Overseer Network is the ruler of the mechanics protecting the Mausoleum of King Deshret, and it has the ability to become invisible during combat. Aeonblight Drake, another new Boss Enemy, will challenge players in the rainforest with distinct attack patterns.
Meanwhile, three Sumeru characters will be available for players to recruit as dependable allies. After making her debut as a dancer, Nilou will join the roster as a five-star Hydro character, combining her graceful dance moves with swordsmanship. The General Mahamatra Cyno is also combat-ready with a five-star Electro polearm. Genius Invokation, a brand-new Trading Card Game that will be added in Version 3.3, is also a favorite of his. Candace, a descendant of King Deshret of mixed blood, will make her debut as the protector of the Desertfolk and Aaru Village. Version 3.1 introduces additional challenges and rewards. The "Wind Chaser" event will test participants' ability to manage wind energy in a unique Domain. In the "Star-Seeker's Sojourn" event, you will assist a young girl in fulfilling her desire to search for Future Stars. The final reward for completing Chamber 3 on Floor 4 of the Spiral Abyss is the opportunity to recruit Collei for free. In addition, the daily login event has returned, with up to Intertwined Fate x10 and additional items available for claim.
