Blacklist International on Sunday reclaimed the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League crown after defeating Echo PH, 4-2, in their Season 10 Grand Finals match at the Blue Leaf Cosmopolitan in Quezon City.
Blacklist has now won three of the four most recent MPL Philippines championships.
The Tier One-lead squad Blacklist International started the series with a landslide 13-5 Game 1 victory in 15 minutes and 38 seconds. Danerie "Wise" Del Rosario on Valentina as a jungler delivered seven kills and five assists without suffering a single death.
After a subpar performance in the series opener, Tristan "Yawi" Cabrera on Valir rebounded in Game 2 and led Echo to a 10-3 victory in 16 minutes and 32 seconds.
Yawi maintained his momentum from Game 2 and propelled Echo Philippines to a 19-9 Game 3 victory in just 15 minutes and 31 seconds. The former Nexplay Evos roamer's flawless 3-0-8 KDA score helped his team take a 2-1 series lead.
Edward "Edward" Dapadap on Benedetta made a resurgence in Game 4 to lead Blacklist International to a 22-6 win, equalizing the series 2-2. He recorded five kills and eight assists against one death in 17 minutes and 13 seconds.
In Game Five, Salic "Hadji" Imam on Pharsa dominated with eight kills, nine assists, and one death in a 20-7 victory in only 13 minutes, reaching match point 3-2.
After Johnmar "OhMyV33nus" Villaluna's (Lolita) Noumenon Blast, which led to the team fight and base takedown, Blacklist International reckoned on a dominant victory in Game 6 to win the best-of-seven series.
With their win, Blacklist international bagged a total of USD 45,060 (around PHP 2.6 million) from the USD 150,000 prize pool. Meanwhile, runners-up Echo PH took home USD 29,460 (roughly PHP 1.7 million).
Edward was awarded Most Valuable Player of the Grand Finals for his consistent play alongside Benedetta and Paquito.
Season 10 heralded the return of the V33wise duo, who decided to skip Season 9. Blacklist missed the playoffs due to the absence of two players.
It was one of the most competitive seasons for the M3 World champs Blacklist, following their dominance in MPL PH Season 7 and Season 8.
The Philippines will be represented by both Blacklist International and Echo at the upcoming M4 World Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia.
