During the third quarter of 2022, consumers in the Philippines can upgrade to a number of top 5G devices, although there is no statistical winner for the fastest 5G smartphone. Samsung Galaxy A53 5G recorded a median 5G download speed of 199.90 Mbps, Huawei Nova 7 5G with 192.80 Mbps, Huawei Nova 7 SE 5G with 188.32 Mbps, Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G with 185.85 Mbps, and Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G with 183.54 Mbps.

Using Speedtest Intelligence, Ookla analyzed 5G performance data in the ten countries with the highest number of connected mobile devices, according to GSMA, and which also had an established 5G market by the end of the third quarter of 2022.

The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is a "premium mid-range" smartphone equipped with a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a high 120Hz screen refresh rate, 64MP + 12MP + 5MP + 5MP quad rear cameras with optical image stabilization (OIS), and a 32MP front-facing camera. It is powered by an Exynos 1280 chipset with 8GB of RAM, the Android 12 operating system, and OneUI 4.1 software. There is also a fingerprint scanner beneath the display, a 5G connection, dual-band Wi-Fi, Dolby Atmos audio, stereo speakers, and expandable storage of up to 256GB. The smartphone is powered by a big 5000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging.

The Huawei Nova 7 is a 5G smartphone that has a 6.53-inch FHD+ OLED display, a 32MP punch-hole front-facing camera, and a 64MP + 8MP + 8MP + 2MP quad rear camera system with 20x digital zoom. It is powered by a Huawei Kirin 985 5G processor with 8GB of RAM, an Android 10 operating system, EMUI 10.1 software, and Huawei Mobile Services. There is also a fingerprint scanner beneath the display, a 5G connection, NFC, and 256GB of internal storage.
