Riot Forge 2023 slate: Mageseeker, Convergence, Song of Nunu

Riot Forge has announced that it is set to release three new games in 2023, including The Mageseeker, Convergence, and Song of Nunu. These titles will be available on both PC and console platforms.

For those unaware, Riot Forge is a publishing label of the League of Legends developer Riot Games. The company works with outside developers and third-party studios to make new games set in the League of Legends universe.

"The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story" is a 2D hi-bit pixel action role-playing game set in Demecia, a kingdom in Runeterra, the world where League of Legends takes place. Players will take on the role of Sylas, one of LoL's champions who is good at using magic and wants to get back at those who put him in jail. The new RPG is developed by Digital Sun, creators of Moonlighter.

The next in the slate is "Convergence: A League of Legends Story," a single-player 2D action platformer starring Ekko and featuring his "time control" skill. Some of you may know Ekko from the popular TV show Arcane. The game is developed by Double Stallion Games.

Also coming this year is the single-player adventure game "Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story," developed by Tequila Works. The game follows the young Nunu and his yeti friend Willump on a quest to look for the boy's mother.

The tentative release timelines for the three games are as follows:
  • The Mageseeker: Spring 2023 (around late March to late June)
  • Convergence: Summer 2023 (around late June to late September)
  • Song of Nunu: Fall 2023 (around late September to late December)
