One Piece to release in Netflix PH on April 15, 2023

Heads up, One Piece fans in the Philippines! Starting April 15, 2023, you can watch the episodes of the hit anime series on Netflix.

This thrilling announcement was made by the official Netflix Philippines Facebook page, showing a picture of the initial members of the Straw Hat Pirates, including Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji.

This is in addition to the live-action adaptation of One Piece, which will also release on the same platform sometime in 2023. The manga's creator, Eiichiro Oda, is one of the show's executive producers. Iñaki Godoy (Monkey D. Luffy), Emily Rudd (Nami), and Jacob Romero Gibson (Usopp) comprise the principal cast.

For the uninitiated, One Piece follows Monkey D. Luffy, a boy with rubber powers, as he sets out to become the King of the Pirates with his crew, the Straw Hat Pirates.

They sail across the Grand Line, battling the World Government, other pirate crews, and dangerous creatures while gaining new allies and abilities.

Throughout the series, they seek out the "One Piece," a legendary treasure that will grant the finder unlimited wealth and fame while exploring themes of friendship, loyalty, and the pursuit of dreams.

Currently, One Piece has more than 1,000 episodes. Luffy, Sanji, Zoro, and the rest of his crew are currently engaged in combat with two Yonkos (Emperor of the Sea), Big Mom and Kaido, in the Wano Country Saga arc of the Japanese anime. However, it is uncertain whether Netflix PH will release all of these episodes, including the most recent.

In other regions, the first two arcs (East Blue and Alabasta) of One Piece were broadcasted. The anime has a total of 10 seasons and 325 episodes in the United States.

Since 1997, "One Piece" has been serialized as a manga, making it one of the longest-running manga series in circulation. In 1999, an anime with the same name was produced.
