Astra Carnival: The Prince Cup 2024 - Overview
Astra Carnival: The Prince Cup will return in 2024 with an updated competition system, announced HoYoverse. For the first time, players will be split into Atlantic and Pacific Regional Tournaments. They will fight against other top players from even wider areas for the title of champion and a total prize pool of USD 60,000 per region. Join the Wild Card competitions now for a last chance to qualify for the upcoming season and receive 160 Primogems and an exclusive card back.
From the Top 32 playoffs to the finals of each regional event, each match in the new season will be broadcast online. TCG lovers and Genshin Impact fans can watch the games via @AstraCarnival on YouTube, X, Twitch, and TikTok, as well as via @GenshinImpactOfficial on Twitch and @genshinimpact_en on TikTok.
The most famous card dueling game in Teyvat, Genius Invokation TCG, was added as a new game mode to Genshin Impact in December 2022. For players in different regions, a wide range of tournaments were introduced in 2023. These included the official "Astra Carnival: The Prince Cup" and the community "Cat's Tail Gathering." This year's The Prince Cup: PACIFIC and The Prince Cup: ATLANTIC will each have the top 24 players from the last "Cat's Tail Gathering," plus eight (8) players who haven't been chosen yet from the Wild Card competitions.
For players who missed the Cat's Tail Gathering, the Wild Card competitions are their last chance to join this season's The Prince Cup. For the Atlantic Region, the competitions will run from April 26–28, 2024, and for the Pacific Region, they will run from May 17–19, 2024. After finishing their first match, all candidates will get 160 Primogems. Those who win their first Best-of-Three (Bo3) match will also get an exclusive in-game card back.

Registration for Wild Card is available until April 15, 2024 (UTC+8) via the following link:

Once the Prince Cup qualifying players have been determined, they will be required to progress through the Regular Season (Top 32) and Knockout Stage (Top 8) in order to secure the title of their respective region's champion. During the Regular Season, the eight (8) most formidable competitors will be determined by randomly dividing the 32 best duelists into four (4) groups. The Top 8 will advance to the Knockout Stage through Best-of-Five (Bo5) double-elimination matches, while the last two players will engage in a Best-of-Seven (Bo7) match to decide the winner of the USD 16,000 grand prize and the title of champion.
- Regular Season (Top 32): May to June (Atlantic), June to July (Pacific)
- Knockout Stage (Top 8): July (Atlantic), August (Pacific)
Starting in May 2024, Astra Carnival: The Prince Cup livestreams will be available via the following social media channels:
