The major update for OCTOPATH TRAVELER: Champions of the Continent (CotC) in Southeast Asia (SEA) was released on September 5, 2024, publisher NetEase Games announced. Check out more details about this latest patch below.

September 2024: New Version Highlights
1. New Crossover
Between September 5 and 19, 2024, Octopath Traveler CotC will have a crossover event with the famous JRPG Triangle Strategy.
You can meet three exclusive characters—Frederica, Roland, and Serenoa—and learn more about their backstories in the Memoirs. Also, there will be a limited-time paid STEP UP Guide available.
2. New Features
Some of the new features that Octopath Traveler CotC SEA players can explore are Divine Beast, Manuscript of Salvation, and Conviction's Gameboard.
The inclusion of these features is expected to enhance and broaden your gaming experience.
3. Enhanced Graphics Quality
The new version of Octopath Traveler CotC has "Original Art Quality," which means it supports higher frame rates (60 FPS) and resolutions. It also features enhanced lighting, depth of field, and color tones to make elements like snow, fog, and flames more realistic.
Additionally, a new "Wide View" feature allows you to explore expansive scenes and enjoy a broader perspective of Orsterra.
4. New Events
August 29 to September 4, 2024:
During the warm-up period, log in daily to receive a free Guide for up to 7 days.
September 5 to 26, 2024:
Receive a free crossover character, Serenoa, and 200 Free Rubies. Starting on the day of the new version, log in daily to receive a free Guide for up to 21 days. Log in consecutively for 14 days to earn 200 Free Rubies on the first day, plus 20 Traveler's Sacred Seals and 400 Free Rubies. Complete special events to earn an additional 10 Traveler's Sacred Seals and 200 Free Rubies.
September 12 to 19, 2024:
Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with 200 Free Rubies and 30 free Guides.
